The ORCA SWIM TEAM, established in 1984 after Gay Games I, promotes the sport of fitness and competitive swimming and actively serves the swimming needs of the gay/lesbian community and its friends. We represent the Seattle area for International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics (IGLA), and are also members of the local masters swim organization Pacific Northwest Aquatics (PNA). Our social group of approximately 60 swimmers varies from people who periodically swim with us for fitness to swimmers who train to compete at various swim meets and triathlons locally and throughout the world. We welcome women and men of all abilities ages 18 and older to our group. Workouts are typically available 4 times a week at Seattle University Connolly Center. After workout on Fridays the team typically picks a restaurant for dinner. Additionally the team has potlucks, parties, a quarterly newsletter, and hosts an annual swim meet (inviting swimmers from all over the world). Some swimmers also organize informal lake swims in the summer. See our website for more information at http://www.orcaswimteam.org.

Seattle Gay Basketball Club:
The organization Jet City Hoops as well as Seattle Gay Basketball both closed up a few years ago.

We re-launched the league last month as a non-profit called Seattle Basketball Club. We are currently in the middle of our first season with 32 players!

Our next season starts in mid-July 2018 and we will also have fall and winter seasons announced soon.

Seattle Basketball Club is an all-inclusive social and athletic organization in the Seattle area for the LGBTQ+ community and our allies. We welcome all players who are committed to creating a safe and enjoyable basketball club for people from all walks of life and all levels of play.

We organize basketball leagues year round as well as tournaments and social activities. We arrange teams based upon skill level at the start of each season and we hold player clinics on a regular basis for continuous improvement. Our goal is to have both recreational and competitive divisions where players of all skill levels can challenge themselves and enjoy the game of basketball with other LGBTQ+ and their friends. We play Sunday evenings starting at 6pm at The Lair Courts in Renton.
Skill Levels: From beginner up to college level players.
